OUR FACTORY

The company’s manufacturing facility is in Ciudad Sandino, about six miles west of Managua. This modern furniture and wood processing facility is on twenty acres, with two buildings that have over 35,000 square feet under cover for manufacturing purposes. The company has invested in new sawmills, kilns and other machinery needed to process the large quantities of wood from plantations trucked to facility.

We bring logs from our own plantations to our factory for processing. We have full milling capacity with two fixed saw mills for small diameter logs, and one mill for larger diameter logs.

All of our wood is kiln-dried in our drying facility, which has capacity for over 170,000 board feet of timber, and stored in our 3000sqm covered storage area.

We have more than 35,000 square feet of manufacturing space which is divided into the following areas:

Material dimensioning and preparation, finger jointed panel area, gluing and pressing, machining, assembly, sanding and finishing.

Simplemente Madera has over 200 employees in the wood manufacturing division.

Simplemente Madera wood products are sold in both the domestic and international markets and include not only Roble (a South American Oak), Laurel, Pochote and African Mahogany harvested from the original plantations, but also Simplemente Madera has a spectacular reserve from Jatoba, Ipe, Cedro Macho, Nanciton and Tamarindo that where extracted from the rainforest areas hit by Hurricane Felix in the eastern part of the country in 2007. This Reserve is kept for our signature projects and our One-Off pieces of Our Legacy Collection.
